Chief Technology Officer

Our client is a software company specialized on GIS solutions. The company offers leading engineering, design and mapping software.

Now we are looking for a Chief Technology Officer .

The CTO will be responsible for establishing the company’s technical vision, leading the development and execution of the company’s strategic technology plan, tactical management of its existing technology landscape (networks, infrastructure, products, services etc.

and providing leadership and management of all resources (labor and capital) in support of Company’s ongoing operations and strategy for continued profitable growth.

The Person

  • Graduated from Computer Engineering, Electronics or Geoscience departments of universities
  • MBA degree will be a strong asset.
  • Minimum 10 years of responsible engineering management experience with day-to-day operations within software, technology or technology consulting and services organizations.
  • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience; especially as a part of the senior management team in different organizations with previous experience in a CTO role (or similar).
  • Proven software knowledge (C# / Java / .NET / API's / Delphi XE / Cordova).
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and negotiating skills to quickly establish rapport and credibility at all levels within an organization, including with the C- and Board-level.
  • Excellent communication, analytic and problem-solving skills; sound business acumen and
  • executive presence, strong work ethics.
  • Job Description

  • Closely monitors industry trends, practices and learnings as well as client and user communities via building industry relations and attending industry fairs / seminars / conferences, synthesizes those trends and learnings with the Company’s abilities and plans.
  • Closely monitors local, regional, global competitors and identifies emerging threats as well as opportunities for the Company to consider in its plans.
  • Recruits, fires, hires, and develops high-performing staff, utilizing the Company guidelines performance management process, and support resources for three different teams reporting up to 40 employees.
  • Participates in critical decisions as a member of the executive management team and builds effective relationships with senior executives, key management personnel and the BoD.
  • Conducts research to improve the technological assets of the Company and identifies competitive advantages and technological trends for the benefit of the Company.
  • Constantly monitors and optimizes the Software Development team’s utilization of time and resources; and manages software related demands of different departments according to strategic goals of the Company.
  • Takes ownership of and monitors projects from scoping requirements through launch. Delivers highly scalable, reliable, and complex software systems on-time and on budget
  • Contributes proactively in terms of business development initiatives.
  • Creates a culture of professionalism, product excellence and process innovation.
