To be responsible for the checking, coordination, approval and follow up of the Power Supply Engineering works in all design stages such as Concept, Preliminary, Detailed and As-
Built of the Project. In particular manage and coordinate POS engineering teams mobilized for the Project in all project locations
To be responsible for hiring any future resource for the effective delivery of the POS engineering deliverables and in the development of the technical skills of the team
To be responsible for Managing the design teams and applying relevant HR cycle processes (definition of objectives, development plans )
To be responsible for reaching the Quality and targets for the Project
To be also responsible for the application of the Design For Quality policy and of the various Engineering quality process,
To be responsible for reviewing and checking of the produced documents by design teams and sub-contractors (if any) including ,and not limited to, Power Supply drawings, calculations (voltage drop, short circuit,.
reports (calculation notes, ...) and bill of quantities in all design stages and verifies them before delivery
Manage Design Changes related to the Power Supply throughout the project cycle
Coordinate the Change management and consolidate the impacts assessment related to the Project Engineering Management activities
Ensure proper preparation and execution of all necessary Design Reviews, including DFQ ones
Deliver a weekly report of the Power Supply Engineering progress participating in preparation of the monthly Power Supply Engineering Report MPR as requested by the Sub-System Manager
To be able to direct the developing of Power Supply installation drawings and coordinate them with civil works and other sub-systems
To apply the revisions, norms and standard applications on technical drawings
To be able to providing technical support to installation and sourcing teams, when necessary
Prepare and update of budget for Power Supply according to design process and technical details
To take part in the test and commissioning process related to the activities under his / her scope
To manage ON-Shore and OFF-Shore Design teams of the Project
Lead and boost design teams
Manage subcontractor design teams
Organize and track project design management (schedules, budgets, quality)
Communicate with internal and external entities
To participate the tender activities; preparation of tender technical documents, participation in tender review process and management of overall power supply related tender activities.
Bachelor degree, preferably master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
More than 15 years’ experience in technical managerial positions in international Metro projects.
Experienced in the leadership of large multinational teams in turnkey projects
Good stakeholder management and interpersonal skills
Knowledge and Experience of Underground Railways systems are strength
Must show capacity to develop with the team, the Power Supply basic and detailed designs as well as the As-Built documentation :
Equipment layout, cable tray layout and civil work reservations
Calculation notes, Selectivity notes, etc.
Test, installation and maintenance procedures
Other documents related to automation and control command such as PLC, SCADA,I / O list, etc.)
Fluent in English; French and / or Arabic will be an asset
Motivated, initiative, interested in technical topics
Demonstrates a Pragmatic approach to complex topics
No restriction to travel within or out of Middle East and Africa Region
