Purpose and Fundamental Goals of the Position :

The Market Development Manager will play a key role in the future direction of the Integration Diagnostic Solutions organization and development of growth strategies.

  • These strategies will support;
  • Continued sustainable and profitable growth via category innovation
  • Diversification outside of the current concentration in the Specimen Management and Microbiology Solutions Business Group segment and,
  • Expansion of core competencies to serve for new era strategy for Integrated Diagnostic Solutions.
  • Key to this individual’s success is synergized collaboration with IDS Marketing Department, Country Sales and Commercial Excellence Department, Medical Affairs Department and other strategic enabling functions on local / regional and global basis;
  • together with outside customers and prospects.

    About the role :

    The specific responsibilities include :

  • Strategizing and implementation of a new growth IDS Market Development plan for best fit category innovation outside of the core conventional approach
  • Participate in process to provide best-fit alternative and futuristic options to expand current core competencies. This will include the generation of intelligence derived by gathering and analyzing information by attending seminars, trade-shows, undertaking web research, compiling sales input and extensively understanding the customer experience and public health agenda.
  • Contributes to IDS Turkey Organization strategy definition and execution through the analysis and identification of new categories, segments and / or solution offerings.
  • Analyzes customer needs for the portfolio, securing customer advantages and benefits and connected strategies to access the market.

  • Responsible from management and coordination of Category Innovation Product Group / Solution Portfolio and ensures efficient and effective execution together with the IDS Marketing, Country Sales and Commercial Excellence and Medical Affairs Department and other strategic enabling functions.
  • Provide organizational leadership with a focus on mid to longer-term strategic planning and policy development in order to flawlessly cover and lead all necessary top to bottom and bottom to top market shaping initiatives, which requires in-depth knowledge of company’s goals and plans
  • Develop and deliver on metrics and Key Performance Indicators to measure the market development program success and Return on Investment (ROI)
  • Build relationships with local and national referring societies to drive awareness of guidelines, policies and evidence along with recommendations on unmet needs and define road map for potential strategic partnerships and Alliances.
  • Collaborates with key opinion leaders and leading organizations to drive appropriate required changes in clinical and public policy, recommendation and practice standards via clinical, economical and societal data
  • About you :

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Being fluent in English is a must
  • Good knowledge of computer and software systems
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
  • Experience in the field of sales will be an asset
  • Willing to travel frequently
  • Professional Skills & Key Competencies

  • Minimum university degree in Science or Business; MBA in Marketing preferred,
  • Strong strategic marketing, market development / shaping, analytical, leadership and communication skills at all levels required,
  • Minimum 8 years + marketing experience in multi-national company preferably in healthcare / life sciences company,
  • Strong aptitude for visualizing and conceptualizing future market, prospect, and customer needs and trends
  • Able to build and cultivate superior relationships with internal and external contacts
  • Experience in leading multi-national matrix organization and multi-cultural teams and relationship with sales team
  • Ability to understand and anticipate future market trends and directions.
  • Knowledge of P&L forecast elaboration and analysis
  • Understanding of market mechanism, competition, market-players and customer needs.
  • Understand of product range and product features, benefits and applications how they are used.
