The Ethics and Compliance Supervisory Manager position was created for experienced managers with an operational and / or compliance background working in multi-national organizations.
The position is ideal for a self-starter that is interested in being part of enhancing a relatively new ethics and compliance structure.
The Ethics and Compliance Supervisory Manager will lead implementation and ongoing management of the local / regional anti-corruption program, partnering with local / regional management to provide guidance on compliance maters and solutions to help address needed remediation.
The Ethics and Compliance Supervisory Manager should demonstrate strong communication skills both written and verbal. The role requires a self-starter that is driven, can lead by example and manage multiple priorities.
The Ethics and Compliance Supervisory Manager will report to the Director, Ethics and Compliance EMEA. The successful candidate must be willing to travel 30% of the time to international locations.
Partner with regional / local country management through participation in regional / local governance committee
Drive consistency in compliance decision making and policy interpretation regionally / locally
Advise regional / local management on compliance related activities
Oversees and provides guidance to distributor manager on compliance topics (e.g., 3rd party due diligence & training)
Fosters an efficient and effective due diligence process to support business needs
Implements the following compliance program work streams :
3rd Party Management
Assist in developing a new global Third-Party program and support implementation of this program across EMA
Works as a partner with Distributor Excellence Manager on collaborative efforts to strengthen our relationship with the third parties through values-based culture initiatives, speak up programs, dashboards and monitoring / audits
Partners with Audit on third party audit program
Identifies if any due diligence activities on existing Third Parties and mitigates risks when red flags are identified.
Presents the recommendation and due diligence reports to the local governance committee for review and approval
Archives documentation to support the steps described above
Training and Communication
Provides training on Ethics and Compliance topics in English, Turkish, and preferably French if possible.
Periodically communicates ethics and compliance updates, news, or changes to the business
Partners with GMs and LTs on training needs, dashboards, and deficiencies
Assists local management with policy interpretation questions
Partners with legal on changes in the compliance trends and operationalizes legal interpretations
Works with Regional Ethics and Compliance Leaders in implementing the regional compliance monitoring program :
Risk rates countries in region based on series of qualitative (e.g., CPI) and quantitative (e.g., revenue) factors
Tailors compliance plan to more closely monitor high risk activities or countries
Executes the compliance monitoring plan governance
Communicates compliance issues to local committee and Regional Director
Reviews corrective actions to ensure effective implementation
Reviews decisions to ensure consistency
Supports internal audit when they perform audits within each region
University degree; Advanced degree a plus
Approximately 5 to 10 years of work experience, business process functions, such as internal audit, sox organization and etc.
ideally with some type of compliance and business process experience
Understanding of efficient business process
Fluency in English (oral and written) and Turkish are mandatory. Fluency in Arabic is preferred
Ability to effectively partner and collaborate across business functions
Strong ability to influence without authority and drive results
Experience in working independently and as part of team to resolve complex matters
Strong analytical and project management skills
Strong communication skills written and verbal
Excellent written, oral communication, strong analytical, organization and strategic thinking skills
Experience working in a global environment
Approximately 30% travel is expected
