Revenue Manager MEAA
Lead Area pricing committee :
Review the as-is analysis of current customer price & trade terms situation (incl. analysis of price, pack, channel and portfolio architecture;
market & competition situation, Ontex & customer margin, supply chain issues (logistics input on pricing), trade terms, promotional activity plan efficiency )
Recommend changes to the prices and trade terms to VP MEAA and Clusters GMs / Commercial Heads as per DoA
Align with the Clusters GMs and Commercial heads and support the implementation of all amendments to the price and trade terms structure
Drive the measurement & evaluation of implemented customer pricing & trade terms structure
2. Define Recommended consumer pricing positioning and the detailed value chain (regular, promo pricing, Distributors trade terms, trade margin, etc.) :
Synthesize insights from pricing, promotions analyses, competition analysis, market reviews (i.e. category price architecture) for pricing committee and leadership team
Identify emerging trends in competitive performance
Define the role of promotion in the category, aligned to consumer / shopper segments
Understand value chain and support Sales teams in optimizing Distributors and Customers’ revenue, aiming to achieve a win-win solution
Understand first and then Leverage elasticity to grow profit
Develop analytical models for pricing scenarios accounting for product volume, margin, and competitive prices to provide guidance and pricing recommendations (e.
g. proposed prices and overall impact)
Analyze trade / promotion performance and develop recommendations for changes that improve trade marketing ROI
3. Set clear innovation pricing strategy (defining how innovation brings value)
Build value chain recommendation for all innovations to come
Recommend and support the implementation of price positioning on shelf, promotion strategy, trade margin generation, and Ontex profit improvement
Track the innovation pricing in the market and for Ontex
4. Price list and Trade Terms management (funding rates, promotion strategies, promoted pricing, ROI analysis)
Conduct Trade Analytics in support of overall Revenue Strategy
Analyze and review trade terms efficiency
Coordinate all recommendations linked to trade terms
Support and accompany sales teams in changes
Bring to work on special projects (these can involve implementation of IT / CRM systems, customer surveys, etc) when needed.
Proactively build a collaborative environment, share best practices with other Areas, and build relationships with peers in other Areas across our Global operations.
Regularly interact with Group, Division and local level with Marketing Teams, Category & Shopper Marketing Teams, Sales Admin, Planning and reporting, Finance Managers, Supply Chain Controllers, Demand Planners to exchange strategy and financial information.
Must have a college degree that requires quantitative knowledge (Master’s degree, MBA or MS in Finance, Science, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Economics strongly preferred), financial modeling and analysis.
Solid (min 8 years) successful managerial experience in Distribution operation in Developing markets
3+ years of leading pricing, promotions, revenue management initiatives in FMCG environment
10+ years of solid experience in sales, category management in the international CPG environment.
Experience in the MEAA region is a prerequisite.
Ability to influence cross-functionally, across hierarchies and cultures.
Able to lead complex analytics
Able to develop new analytical techniques as part of overall problem-solving and revenue strategy development
Able to synthesize marketing and pricing information to draw insights and actionable recommendations (e.g., structure the problem, collect data, identify issues and present results)
The individual must have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to interact and persuade individuals at levels senior to him or her, as well as actively participate in meetings and group discussions with individuals from various parts of the organization (e.
g. sales, marketing, supply chain)
The job holder should have demonstrated success in team or project leadership and change management.
