Ideal candidates will be have an Architectural experience in the design of buildings, you will have in-depth knowledge in architectural design but also have extensive experience with design management and be able to coordinate teams of civil, electrical and mechanical engineers along with project architects, you will have a min of 15 years experience working in the construction / civil engineering fields.
Coordinate a team of civil, electrical, mechanical engineers and architects
Review designs at tender stage against client submittals
Forecast additional design works required to complete works on site and submit to client for approval
Follow cost control reports against budgets
Manage / Coordinate 3rd party designers
Manage / Coordinate as-built design processes around various sites
Fluent in English language, Russian is not essential but a bonus.
Provides leadership and management for the development and execution of overall design concepts and intents for all assigned projects.
Manages execution of overall design concepts, through to Approved For Construction stage from designers, in accordance with the programme requirements.
Evaluates Design Consultant's VOR for Client’s approval.
Controls and manage the Senior Discipline Engineers of the Project Management team in respect of Design aspects.
Evaluate and endorse the variation orders / concession / assignment requests submitted by the Design Consultant(s) for Client’s approval.
Manage the process of Value Engineering and any necessary re-design activities
Manages the process regarding Temporary Works Designs from Contractor to ensure timely approvals
Manage the shop drawings submission and approval by designer / consultants and return to Contractor(s) / Sub-contractor(s) Approved For Construction
Ensures that designs are prepared taking account of safety for erection and subsequent dismantling of the components of the building(s)
Monitors programme for availability of necessary designs and details and ensures that KIKLOP and Client and Contractor(s) are aware of necessary key critical actions / decisions
Monitor Design(s) for compliance with Design remit and Quality Plans
Ensures implementation of QA / QC Procedures in line with Clients expectations and corporate standards
Issues Quality Non-Compliance Reports and follows through on corrective actions
Review and comment on all Contractor Quality plans (relevant to Design Management)
