We are looking for a System Engineer in our Platform Solutions Department.
Knowledge and experience in the following areas are must :
Microsoft Windows operating systems
Active Directory Group Policies, DNS, DHCP management
MS Cluster administration
Linux OS experience is a plus
Backup & Recovery solutions (Veeam is a plus)
Storage administration (IBM & Pure Storage is plus)
SAN switches installation and management (Brocade is a plus)
Significant role requirements
Graduated from engineering departments
Minimum MCP or VCP certified or equivalent level of experience
At least 8 years experience of managing mission critical system & storage environments
Fluent in English
Ability to work under pressure with a proactive mind set
Experience in a critical 7 / 24 environment (always available)
Ability to depict high & low level infrastructure topology via MS Office
No obstruction for travelling
Military obligation completed or postponed at least 2 years
Has strong analytical skills, problem solving ability and stress resistant capability
Thorough, methodical and business minded
Used to work in project context, to propose realistic plannings and respect them
Deliverables / Tasks
Ensuring the compliance of our infrastructure with the highest level of security imposed by our sensitive business activities and industry standards (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards),
Sizing the infrastructure while foreseeing the growth of the number of transactions handled by our IT platform and of the number of services provided in datacenters,
Planning the performance and capacity of our infrastructure for the next 3 years, under specific and complex constraints, to sustain potential and sudden peaks of transactions,
Keeping our platform constantly up-to-date while respecting the zero down-time’ expectations of our customer base, tolerating no system maintenance’ even during night or week-end
Operation and Administration of the physical and virtual servers according company’s procedures.
Operation and Administration of the Backup solution according company’s procedures.
Install, configure, patch and maintain appropriate technologies (e.g. servers / storages / san switches solutions).
Preparing & participating in weekly service report meetings.
Assist disaster recovery tests.
Document and track the license renewal times of the software and hardwares.
