Job Description

As a subject matter expert you will drive all sales (new, cross-sells, up-sells) for Commodity proposition in a given territory with both existing and new customers.

The role involves driving sales by promoting Refinitiv commodity services, seeking and developing sales growth and new business (inside and outside of Refinitiv existing customer base) and driving competitive sales opportunities.

Your primary focus (90%) will be to generate new revenue.

Responsibilities :

  • Product Sales : Drive product sales for all Commodity services across Turkey and Caspian Region within Commodity industry.
  • Client Relationships : Gains customer acceptance by explaining Commodity value proposition.
  • Leverage knowledge of industry challenges and opportunities to build trust and respect with current and future customers.
  • Cross-Team Coordination : Serve as a critical team member of Commodity services.
  • Forecasting and Reporting : Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to inform management's strategic decision-making.
  • Meet overall territory revenue goal
  • Meet Product specific revenue goals
  • Meet strategic product goals (e.g. Sales to flagship accounts, increased vertical penetration)
  • Increased penetration of Commodity services into existing accounts
  • Job Specific Skills / Qualifications :

  • 3+ years in sales experience of specialized services for commodity industry (preferably oil & gas / energy / metals & mining / agriculture / shipping industry).
  • Knowledge of trends within oil & gas / energy / metals & mining / agriculture / shipping industries and customers' business models around related industries as well.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication in English.
  • Proficiency level of Turkish language
  • Mature sales profile ability to deliver sale and presale alone if needed.
  • Deep financial markets understanding and understanding of market data is an advantage.
  • Ability to deliver results while working in a highly independent and fast paced team environment.
  • Presentation skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to proactively hunt for new business, identify and generate sales to existing and new customers.
  • Understanding of actual financial technologies and IT solutions for commodities industry and financial institutions as an advantage;
