Provide Country wide Financial and Tax Reports timely, accountable for Financial Statement Assurance. Assist in the provision of continuous improvement on compliance around tax calculations, tax and related financial reporting and filings.
Work with the country chief accountant in relation to statutory activity. This position also links to the tax department.
60% Tax compliance and reporting
Perform Tax Calculations & Accounting (corporate tax, withholding tax, BEPS, SAF, Property tax, other local taxes Transfer Pricing documentation).
Process Export Controls including Excise.
Perform Tax audit.
Respond to external tax audits.
Collaborate and closely work with Tax function, Businesses and CBS on questions arising in various tax aspects.
Assure together with Tax function implementation and maintenance of full tax regime compliance for entities / reporting units in scope.
Prepares or may oversee the preparation of complex tax returns and / or takes a significant role on projects associated with tax compliance Reporting (corporate tax, withholding tax, BEPS, SAF, Property tax, other local taxes Transfer Pricing documentation).
Prepares and reviews tax forms and related documents associated with tax compliance, requiring general understanding of tax practices and procedures.
Includes provisions, computations, estimates, extensions, etc.
Provides support to Cargill subsidiaries, joint ventures, business staff and other tax department personnel by providing advice, within specialty area, on low to moderate complexity tax transactions and issues.
May provide advice on complex issues with direction from supervisor or more senior team members.
May develop country processes and / or identify data requirements for tax / financial / compliance related systems.
Conducts basic tax-related research and analysis requiring a general understanding of tax practices and procedures.
Research is used for the purpose of completing tax compliance responsibilities.
Utilizing a general understanding of tax practices and procedures, identifies material issues with business compliance processes
Analyses compliance processes and / or the applications used in these processes, utilizing both tax and / or technical knowledge, to identify tax and work process issues in practice to minimize tax risk for Cargill
Identifies tax issues on day-to-day compliance tasks without regular direction
May oversee and plan the execution of specific tax compliance processes and exercises. Verifies correctness of tax calculations and proper maintenance of records
Ensures the tax regulations required in each country is fully attended by A*R professionals
articulates well disclosures and external reports required in each country. Responsible for requesting any required master data (i.e. Accounts).
15% Accountable for Financial reporting
Prepare regular monthly reports of Corporate Finance, Statutory purposes.
Accountability for the outcomes of all accounting and financial reporting activities for the selected CRP
Facilitate Annual Statutory Audit
Prepare / Facilitate USGAAP reporting around tax aspects (Tax package and Web schedules)
Managing CBS Performance and site task related to processes
15% Business Liaison
Partners with control and decision support specialists
Maintain close cooperation with commercial, supply chain and other business / product managers
Work with FP&A and MIDS team on projects
Works with the legal team.
10% Response to Enquires
Support the response to any financial inquiries, concerns and issue from Management, FP&A, A&F, Commercial, Country Corporate, Global and Regional Reporting Team by providing explanation & data.
Bachelor Degree in Accounting / Tax with 5 years accounting / tax experience
Minimum 5 years of RtoR process experience tax experience
