Job Dimensions & Scope
We are currently looking for Technical and NBI Manager for our Istanbul site, belonging to the Snacks& confectionery business , and with a scope of around 360 people.
The position includes many internal and external relations such as with sales, BU / BG plants network, R&D, BG Operations Organisation, Suppliers, Science Centres.
Respond to and complete customer’s technical requests. Provide the effective management of customer’s needs around of the product quality and development.
Undertake liaison with customers and suppliers, on a proactive and reactive basis.
Coordinate technical & product development activities that support the plant’s growth agenda
Lead the New Business implementation process including : project management of cross functional activity for all new business opportunities, regular preview and review progress with key stakeholders, to be agreed review of trials and production commercial performance, co-ordinate project teams for NB implementation
Guide departments and plant management team in understanding of quality & technical requirements specific to their role.
Coach Quality & Technical and Production team in necessary technical competences.
Collaborate closely with other Amcor plants to exchange knowledge and experience for benefit of plant and the Amcor network
Actively participate in Amcor sustainability agenda and relevant products developments.
Provide comprehensive management report and analysis when required. Complete analytical tasks to accurately measure performance against standard KPIs.

Develop all team members through effective performance review and appraisal. Set individual / group improvement targets that deliver or support the business improvement strategies.
Uphold discipline and build development, succession plans and training programs for the technical team.
Build the system that help to develop and store technical knowledge that would be easy to update and will support education and experience of plan staff around technical aspects
Align with production departments to meet quality and customer requirements. Supporting quality in assurance of customer requirements.
Ensure appropriate technical evaluation of products is completed in order to ensure customer requirements are met in full.
Lead process improvements on site, ensuring a high level of product quality combined with manufacturing efficiency
Optimise complex converting processes (for higher efficiency and for new products), including process demands, process capability studies, development of new processes and process components
Qualifications / Requirements
Formal Qualifications and Experience
Engineering degree level or equivalent in a scientific / packaging technology or related discipline
10 years of experience in flexible packaging company or similar in the technical function
Experience in quality root cause identification and quality improvement processes
Experience in new products industrialization process
Leadership experience in projects and cross functional teams
Excellent oral, written skills essential for communication at all levels in Turkish andEnglish
Experience in influencing and negotiating
