Terminal Automation (Tank Farm, Terminals and Solids) Sales Engineer will fulfill the role of Product Champion Tank Gauging and is responsible for taking the lead in the development of the Inventory Management Initiative, and Tank Gauging to improve Emerson’s market position, increase sales opportunities and achieve financial goals for Rosemount Turkey.
As an addition to Tank Gauging requirements, Terminal Automation Sales Engineer will expand Measure & Analyze products and Solution such as Hydrocarbon Leak Detection, Pump Health Monitoring, Overfill Protection and Roof tilt, Flowmeter, Flow Systems which are fit very well into the Tank Farms.
Execute the assigned Business Development Domain
Promote the product line, to achieve bookings and sales targets, by developing and implementing product support and sales strategies aligned with those of the region and business unit(s).
Provide direction and give training to the sales team on how to be successful both technically and commercially.
Gain and apply product and industry knowledge to develop market penetration plans to achieve budgeted sales and growth commitments.
Identify new business opportunities (industries, applications, customers), convert them into action plans and establish measures with sales management for success.
Map out unmet customer needs for both products and non products.
Work with individual stakeholders owning the process of literature that adequate literature is available and used.
Coordinate and assist with product field tests, trials, etc.
Monitor competitive activities and develop strategies to address and counter-act them.
Actively visit existing customers and seek new opportunities to promote products, services and solutions of Emerson Process Management.
Report regularly to Sales Manager and Business Unit on market trends, competition strategies and customer behavior which may affect the Emerson business strategies.
Engage early in the RFQ process and follow up with all parties involved
Produce bookings and sales forecasts, monitoring performance against budget and report these.
Maintain a project opportunity list for the assigned sales area in the associated tools like PATT, CRMoD etc.
Maximize both face to face time and other communication possibilities (telephone, e-mail, etc.).
Adhere to local and international Emerson Trade Compliance and Quality Management procedures, as well as the Emerson Ethics policy, with respect to all business activities.
Other responsibilities as reasonably required. Requirements
Bachelor degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering or related field is preferred.
At least 3 years sales experience in the industrial market.
Strong personality with the ability to communicate with all levels within and outside of the organization
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Fluent in English
Willingness to travel in the region and international
