Convention & Events Sales Executive
Handles group and banquet bookings of the hotel generated by the travel agents and end clients in Turkey and abroad.
Makes local sales calls to agencies within Istanbul to present the hotel and establish a good relationship
Records all sales activities in Opera
Conducts familiarization trips, house tours to potential clients
Implements all sales action plans.
Makes sure to have a consistent group base daily in the hotel depending on the season and meet the average group rate targets.
Submits weekly and monthly sales reports to the Ass. Director of Convention & Event Sales
Conducts Familiarization Trips from the main markets in conjunction with Global Sales Offices, Head Office, Airlines as well as other sources.
Works to exploit the new market and suggests them for the S&M Plan.
Established and maintains good relations with the contact people in all accounts.
Implements all policies, procedures of the hotel.
Participates in to the functions to entertain decision makers and bookers.
Promotes all special programs of the hotel.
Provides feedback to the DOS & DOSM on changing marketing conditions, including trends in the competition, as a result of direct sales solicitation, telephone or direct mail.
Participates monthly Sales & Marketing meetings and daily brief.
Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Her weekly personal sales call target is 5 and telephone call target is 15.
Makes sure that a proper correspondence is answered within 24 hours, checks regularly to have an up to date and orderly filing.
Issues group memo one week prior to arrival of her group and distributes to related departments
Assists the operational departments with a smooth flow of information received from client and makes sure the operation is a success
Presents during operation to handle the clients requests

In addition, the candidate should possess :
Previous 5 years sales experience in an international 5-star hotel
Bachelor's degree in reputable universities
Previous Opera experience is an asset
Fluency in English
Must possess a professional presentation
Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
Highly responsible & reliable
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
