The Work You'll Do :
The Senior System Engineer applies a systematic approach to the design, maintenance and operation of our internal systems, applications and services as well as our external offerings.
They work with others across the business to understand customer and internal needs and develop solutions in the areas of systems engineering while ensuring the internal and external client satisfaction.
Throughout the lifecycle, the Systems Engineer is a consultant to others in their area(s) of expertise and they continually develop skills relevant to their role.
More specifically you will :
Configure, implement and provide tier 1,2 support for incident resolution and service request processes for technical problems and IT issues involving applications and the hardware these applications run on
Follow defined processes for workflow, incident and change management
Possess flexibility to apply knowledge and experience to apply known solutions to business problems
Exercise discretion and judgment to ensure all Operational Service Levels are met
Influence others to ensure levels of quality and timelines are met during the service improvement and delivery process
Engage and escalate to vendors for service restitution
Provide and update documentation of configurations, maintenance plans and project updates
Contribute to reasonable estimates of capital requirements, schedule and task estimates for project objectives
Ensures all Operational Service Levels are met against documented SOPs
Ensure individual contributor levels of quality and timelines are met during the service improvement and delivery process
Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, Software Engineers, QA, and other technical staff to ensure our internal and external systems are operating properly
Participate on cross functional teams to help deliver solutions from the point of inception through customer delivery
Support products in use by diagnosing and resolving issues and also participate in initiatives to improve processes, standards and practices
Provide documentation of configurations, maintenance plans and project updates
Contribute to task estimates for project objectives

What We Need From You :
BA / BS degree required or equivalent work experience
2 years of experience in NOC or data center operations with customer facing systems
Working experience in complex IT operational environments in various aspects of support for their technical area
Knowledge of the following technologies is a plus
o Microsoft Windows Server
o SAN Administration (EMC / HP / NetApp)
