Red Fuse Communications is a single WPP team unit dedicated to providing marketing communications services to Colgate-Palmolive.
Colgate’s Africa Eurasia Division covers 4 major hubs, South Africa, Sub Saharan Africa, North Africa / Middle East & Turkey and Eurasia, and supports products across Oral care (toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, specialties), Personal care (Body Cleansing, Underarm Protection), and Home care (mainly Fabric Softeners and Household Cleaning products, in a minority of countries).
Position Summary :
The Regional Media Account Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day to day running of the media product, regionally and across the vast local agency network.
Will play a critical role in providing visibility of local market activities to the central clients. At all times strive for consistency, accuracy and on-time delivery.
The role involves working in a cross-disciplinary strategy team including brand, digital and media specialists. The role reports to the Media Director.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Ensure accuracy of and compliance with global reporting and management systems
Reporting local market media spends, trends and environment and competitor’s media strategies and communication, activation and new product activities.
Drive digital initiatives (including data driven strategies) at local level by providing expertise, thought leadership and inspiration from the Global Red Fuse Network.
Work with the Red Fuse team and Wavemaker network to ensure quality of delivery of both locally and centrally developed Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) activity and ensure compliance with agreed strategies and approaches.
Share best practice, insight across the MEC network, including media / communication approaches, and proven media planning and buying techniques (e.g. recency planning)
Support Wavemaker network ensuring strategic tools usage (Crossmedia, Momentum etc) for the best output for Colgate.
Develop compelling regional Communications Strategies that drive brand market share by working closely with local and regional CP brand teams and agency strategic and creative teams.
Support local Wavemaker teams in adapting regional communication strategies and delivering best-in-class traditional and digital solutions across diverse markets.

Regular contact with extended Colgate Marketing teams.

Seeks and capitalizes on opportunities to grow Client business.
BA / BS degree with a minimum of 5 years of working experience in Media Planning and / or related field.
Fluent written & spoken English is required. Additional languages preferred.
Experience and knowledge in both traditional and all digital media platforms.
Experience in international market management preferred.
Strong knowledge of new media principles i.e. programmatic, biddable, data-driven media.
Strong workflow management, organizational skills, time management.
Good attention to detail.
Effective at building personal relationships with clients and local market colleagues.
