New England Biolabs (NEB) is seeking an experienced Metrology Lead to join the Facilities and Engineering team. The individual in this position is responsible for management of the instrumentation calibration program at Biolabs facilities in Ipswich, Rowley and Beverly.
Primary Responsibilities :
Further develop and manage the instrumentation calibration program.
Provide technical guidance on critical instrumentation calibration requirements.
Manage maintenance and calibration contracts for instrumentation and laboratory equipment.
Troubleshoot and / or repair instrument / lab equipment failures.
Provide technical guidance on instrumentation and controls related scope for capital projects, renovations and production support.
Support development and maintenance of the calibration, work order and asset management system.
Develop and maintain a critical spares program for instrumentation and control systems.
Support development of the maintenance and calibration procedures.
Required to participate and support the F&E on-call rotation program.
Required Qualifications and Experience :
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in life science and / or related industry.
Demonstrated knowledge of calibration of instrumentation utilized for utility, production and laboratory systems.
Experience with the operation of building and process automation systems.
Strong communication, technical writing, relationship building, and leadership skills.
Experience managing multiple subcontractors and subcontracts as part of a project or program.
Strong computer skills related to the generation of reports, asset management systems, building automation and other facilities related software systems.
