Product development and research position for Baked chips, crackers and nuts category within the East Europe Region who works on new products designs and processes, optimize product designs per consumer response, and select winning ideas for commercialization.
Other responsibilities will be identifying product-related opportunities, executing improvement actions to maximize market performance of existing products, executing aligned productivity projects by applying solid project management skills to ensure clear communication of project scope, timing, and success criteria.
The role will not have a direct report.
Key Responsibilities :
Innovation Agenda Delivery ; Plan and execute AOP and long term projects utilising solid technical project management tools and skills to ensure objectives are accomplished on time, to the agreed standards and within budget.
Provide technical risk assessment / perspectives related to new product development
Lead planning and execution of pilot plant and plant scale production runs- collect necessary data to resolve product / process issues, determine and track next steps and establish final product / process parameters.
Support idea generation and pipeline development for short and long term operating agenda.
Understand Consumer Product Testing methods and work with Product Insight team to ensure well de for report data very well to deliver superior products to market and capture product intelligence.
Apply all TSG (Technical Stage gate) requirements; prepare ingredient and product specifications, recipes, label information, and transfer into the available Documentation Systems to provide compliance to proven product design and legal requirements.
Act as the guardian of quality for the products through owning product, process and material design standards and tracking in-market performance through consumer tests and / or other Sensory, Physical, Chemical and other analyses.
Establish cooperative and supportive relationships with Marketing, Operation, Purchasing, Regulatory, and Productivity teams and participate in the development / implementation of innovation, brand stewardship and productivity activities.
Establish and maintain cooperation with the R&D Colleagues, other company departments, external contacts such as ingredient suppliers, equipment vendors, and research laboratories to provide an effective project management.
Contribute in budget planning in AOP and ensure category budget kept within allocated budget.
Thrive in a fast-paced environment as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Qualifications / Requirements
Previous R&D experience in Food Industry is preferred.
Understanding of product & process development, project management within Food Manufacturing environment (Minimum of 5 years previous experience)
Demonstrated understanding of how to incorporate business needs into technical decisions
Excellent project management skills (including ability to define project aims, work to a defined timeline, communicate project progress to stakeholders / key actors)
Ability and interest to work in laboratory, pilot plant and manufacturing scale environments
Proven ability to manage multiple assignments / tasks
Strong analytical skills ability to interpret complex data and distil into useful and actionable information
